Bent Derailleur Hanger Repaired

I repaired the bent derailleur hanger today. Since the bend was slight i was able to bend the hanger back with my hand by just slightly twisting the top of the derailleur. Probably not the right way to do the repair but it seemed to work. I then went through a complete derailleur adjustment procedure.

I also received my derailleur hanger from bikesdirect. It is the correct hanger and I will use it as a spare. The only difference was that the replacement is silver and my original is black.

I have the Fantom Pro 29, which I believe uses the same frame as the fantom 29, and I busted my hanger earlier this week (rear tire slipped off the edge of a bridge). I found that Wheels Manufacturing (www.wheelsmfg.com) Part No. DROPOUT-67, Type K Hanger, Rocky Mtn. Flow and Grind is an exact match for the original hanger. I'm not sure if it's any cheaper, but it may be easier to get. Although I have the same problem as use, just in reverse - I now have a black hanger on a silver bike.
